Yodel Snow Sports offers ski and snowboarding lessions at Akakura Onsen. They also have rentals and offer guided tours including snow shoeing. During Green Season they also offer tailor made tours.
Head to the website for all your JR Train needs including timetables, Shinkansen Bookings, maps of the stations and general travel information.
Myoko Tourism is your go to for Early Bird local resort passes, events, onsens, access to the area and of course all of the great tourism areas to visit.
The Alpen Blick Resort (Ikenotaira Ski Field) offers the widest runs in Japan. There is a large public Ikenotaira onsen that includes an on-site restaurant and convenience store.
Akakura Onsen and Akakura Kanko are located within close proximity to the Lodge. The nearby main street also has lots of food options and the traditional ski village feel.
Suginohara is special for having one of Japan’s longest ski runs of 8.5km with a massive vertical 1,124 metre drop, and high-altitude, wide, groomed slopes suitable for intermediates. There are stunning views of Lake Nojiri, a top-tier terrain park, and being family-friendly with free skiing for kids under 13.
